Plumero – 3D animation (720p)

Plumero comes from spanish word duster and that’s also a name of the Dakar Rally Concept Car – Animation developed for Croatian Dakar Team. Based on the design of Dario Dropucic and engineering by experienced Race Engineering company Kvocic d.o.o. and Faculty of mechanical engineering (Zagreb, Croatia) car was modelled, textured, rigged, animated and rendered in the desert environment. The whole project was executed under short deadline of twelve working days. So more important feels the rigging part of the process which was covered by Fredrik Stenson.

In overall, design of the rally concept car is dedicated to engineering and functionality. There were a lot of rules to follow, regarding the conditions on one side and Dakar compettion guidelines on another. There are still some rules left in digital medium but impression of what is real could be bend. Therefore intention of Art direction was to show and present another emotional, artistic side of the project, still packed with action in counterpart with a nature of a desert.

In close collaboration with Confusion, association for promotion of audio-visual art, we developed a serie of motion identities for the illectricity ’09, a cutting edge music & arts festival in Croatia. Jon Peverlist, Cooly G, D-Bridge, Dj Jackmaster, are just a few to mention dj-s, audio artists who performed in seven days. Music sets ranged from the intensive Autechre sound style to the all sorts of dubstep, funky do booty, techno and drum & bass rhythms. Sold out tickets did not come exactly as surprise as some of performers were famous by collaborations with Coldplay, Massive Attack, Brian Eno etc.


Josip Klobučar, producer and remarkable Dj was responsible for sound design. With him and under short time-line we build upon solid foundation – Visual Identity developed by graphic designer, Zoran Đukić.

Model 01 is a short motion video, Computer Generated Animation. That was the Final Project for Hyper Island’s Digital Media program. It is about simulated reality, artificial intelligence as unique blend of industrial and organic design. Motion piece is driven solely by it’s visuals. Absence of story and description of any kind puts the Android right in the center. To make it even more experimental, explanations are left to the imagination of the viewers. Their subconscious might perceive environment as some kind of modern cell. There are no walls and boundaries, but nowhere to run as well.

Stages of production were: Pre-Production (Research, Concept, Reference), Production (Modelling, Texturing, Animation, Rendering), Post-Production (Titles & VFX: Motion Blur, DOF etc.).

MOTH3R Collective – Identity Motion piece was done for Media Temple Collective – Motion Project. Animation is a result of the production process which involved modeling, rendering and compositing. Nothing less important, soundtrack has been done by Pavao Slabinac. I will rather say a great artist than just a friend of mine. Just for the record, this motion piece has been originally released on Full HD (1920×1080 px) but hereby I present it on smaller 1024x576px (4mb) size.

Intro

This animation is served as Intro and main content in the header section of Artanimi Corporate Web site. With the use of unobtrusive graphics, it is meant to be played in an infinite loop. Titles at the speed of light are representing a core services of the company . Sound by Pavao Slabinac.

Identity

Accompanied by logotype, streak is represents a core of identity. To avoid identity crisis, design could be generated and regenerated dynamically for each use for Print, Web and Motion.

Print

Business cards are fine example of implementation through the medium. Every streak is special as each person is unique, still, it looks like, it is the same company.
